Tasting Notes:

5.3% premium German lager, brewed by the Fürstenberg brewery in Donaueschingen in Baden Wurttenberg (the Black Forest).

Brewed under the strict German Purity laws (Reinheitsgebot).

Deep gold in colour with hints of fruit in a big malty body and crisp, dry finish.

Product Description

Furstenberg Brewery. Brewery owned until recently by the royal Furstenberg family, who first set up the brewery in 1283. Bought in 2005 by Paulaner.

First introduced into Scotland in the 1970’s and has become well-established and affectionately well-known as ‘Fursty’ in both keg and bottle (500ml). Recently reported as a Top Ten bottled brand in Scotland.

Named as best brewery by the prestigious German Agricultural Society in 2009 and 2010.
