Tasting Notes:

"The hazy gold beer has a rich and tempting aroma of banana, cloves, nutmeg and gentle hop resins. Creamy malt fills the mouth, balanced by fruit and spices, with along, refreshing, complex finish in which ripe malt competes with the growing influence of spices and fruit, with late hint of hops.” Roger Protz (who named it as one of three beers he would take with him to a Desert Island).

Traditionally brewed by Weihenstephan in Freising near Munich. It is the oldest brewery in the World dating back to 1040. It is also part of the Brewing Department of the Technical University of Munich, which means that it is, at the same time, the oldest and the most up to date brewery.
