Tasting Notes:

Dark ruby ale with an aroma of fruit and raisin, with a vinous sherry note. There is a strong initial flavour of blackcurrant cordial with some liquorice and then some sweet dried fruit with a rich caramel & honeycomb taste. There is some roast in the long quite sweet finish.

The Hogs Back Brewery is an independent brewery based in Tongham, Surrey. Our flagship real ale, ‘TEA’ (Traditional English Ale), has proved to be a favourite of cask conditioned ale drinkers throughout the UK and is the proud winner of many awards. The Hogs Back Brewery has a long tradition of brewing award winning ales. Since TEA won it’s first award back in 1992 the brewery has moved from strength to strength, winning over 50 awards from various bodies. Our most notable achievements include the gold medal for Best Bitter at the CAMRA Great British Beer Festival and Supreme Champion Winter Beer of Britain at the CAMRA Winter Beer Festival.
